Donna M. Ivey, Administrator/President

Donna is passionate about “restoring excellence in healthcare,” a phrase at the heart of the acronym for I-CARE, Inc...I Care About Restoring Excellence in healthcare. She has served on several quality assurance boards for area home care agencies that emphasize the importance of quality healthcare to all patients regardless of the resources provided to them by their health insurance coverage. Donna was named among "Top 10 Women in Business " in NOVA Exec magazine's cover story in 2011.
Before forming her own company over 18 years ago, Donna spent four years as Director of Home Care Services of Therapy Associates. Her aspiration in the medical field was a childhood dream which began over 30 years ago as President of Explorers (a student program encouraging aspiring physicians to shadow doctors) at The Medical College of Ohio. Donna began to put her aspirations into practice by graduating from high school at the age of 16 and enrolling in College as a chemistry pre-med major at Bowling Green State University. She later moved to Oklahoma to continue a degree in chemistry pre-med with a medical sociology option.
While in pursuit of her career, Donna began her family and decided that the demands of family were her priority; she placed her education on hold until after she founded I-CARE, Inc in 1993. She then earned a BSBA, graduating with honors.
When Donna is not working on the needs of her clients, her team and her family, she spends her time volunteering at First Baptist Church in Vienna, Virginia, where she has been a member for over 24 years. She has volunteered as: Director of the Nursery, President of Women’s Ministry, Director of Vacation Bible School, a Sunday School Teacher. She has also served as a member of: Missionary Ministry, Evangelism Ministry, New Members Ministry, co-facilitator Married Couples Ministry and most recently has become a Deaconess. Donna has served in several community organizations such as the Mentor Works Program at Lake Braddock High School as an assistant coordinator and has participated in the tutoring program for middle school students. In addition, she is a past Board Member of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) which assists abused and neglected children in Prince William County Virginia. In addition, has served on Executive Leadership Team at BNI (Business Network International) 2011-2012 as well as President of her chapter for 2011-2012. Moreover, she has become a member of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and NAPW (The National Association of Professional Women). Donna resides in Burke Virginia with her husband and Director of Operations at I-CARE, Inc, Tony Ivey Sr . They also are humbly grateful for three adult children, two of whom recently graduated with honors from college and the youngest recently completed his junior year with honors in political science/pre-law. Donna’s desire is to meet the needs of people who are infirmed or incapacitated by educating them and their loved ones about the various resources and services available to them.
