Tony Ivey Sr., Director of Operations 
Anthony (Tony) L. Ivey is the Director of Operations for I-CARE, Inc. He moved to the Northern Virginia area in 1988 after Graduating from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Engineering Technology. In 1993,Tony, a Project Manager by trade, took some time off from his Project Management responsibilities in the private sector and assisted the Administrator of I-CARE, with writing the State Regulations that allowed I-CARE to become a licensed Home Health Organization in the State of Virginia.
Tony’s project management skills have greatly benefited him in executing his responsibilities at I-CARE which include:
- Developing and Implementing company policies and procedures
- Managing the Intake and Human Resources process
- Executing the company’s Benefits plan
- Negotiating and managing all contracts and agreements
- Managing Invoicing, Payroll, Account Receivables and Payables
Tony’s passion for health care was greatly increased when he had the opportunity to coordinate care for his own family and friends. His relentless drive for excellence in healthcare and his advocacy for patients have assisted them in getting the most out of their health insurance coverage. Tony is married to Donna M. Ivey, the Administrator of I-CARE, they have 3 adult children, 2 of which are in the health care field. When Tony is not working or spending time with family he is volunteering at First Baptist Church of Vienna where he and his wife have been members since 1988. Tony has volunteered as: Director of Vacation Bible School, Trustee, Men’s Ministry President and co-facilitator of the Married Couples Ministry and has served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 5 years. Tony has also served in community organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Mentoring program at Lake Braddock High School and CEW Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting and encouraging youth in the community. Tony resides in Burke, Virginia with his wife.
